If you need a professional writer with experience as well as enthusiasim, why not consider me? More than two decades on the tools and an insatiable curiosity about what’s new and what’s next makes me something of a unicorn, and who doesn’t need a unicorn in the workplace?

I’ve worked as a senior copywriter with many advertising agencies in Brisbane and Sydney; most recently with Dee Madigan at Campaign Edge on the ALP’s federal election campaign, and in 2021 with Clemenger/CHEP on Michael Hill and RACQ. I’ve also written dozens of opinion and sponsored posts for the Mamamia Womens Network as well as creating content for Robin Terry and Bob’s breakfast radio program. There’s also three novels and a children’s picture book published by Queensland University Press which you can find in libraries and bookshops.

The MatesMotel campaign was created as a positive way to reframe the conversation around drink driving over the summer holidays. It was a bit of fun that made a big difference. Agency: BCM Partnership.

Lettuce Vote Them Out was one of many, many ads produced for the ALP during the 2022 federal election. A short, sharp comment on the cost of living, it had a witty sting in its tail. Agency: Campaign Edge.

Sticky Dog was part of a campaign for The Commonwealth Bank I wrote in the early 2000s. I think it’s simplicity gives it a charm that’s allowed it to age well. Agency: STW Group

OK, so these videos for Sunny Queen Eggs were written and directed by me, and starred my sister, but I’m really proud of them because they are so authentic. There were six in all and were shot in less than a day. Agency: BCM Partnership.

Radio content

The Executive Producer of Brisbane’s Robin, Terry and Bob breakfast radio show approached me in January 2021 about writing a ‘mystery Journal’ to be read in instalments every morning for six weeks. I was excited to take on the challenge and was rapt with how well it went. The video explains how it all went down.

Whether I’m writing an ad or a novel. I believe telling stories is most powerful way to connect with people. No one likes to be lectured, instructed or sold to, but everyone loves a story well told. This video is a book trailer I made for my first novel, Mosquito Advertising.
